What a KNTRL calisthenics class is like

You learn to pull, push and hold your own bodyweight on bars, rings and the floor, with a coach watching every rep. It builds real strength, grip and control that carries into everything else you do, and it's honest work: the last reps should feel hard.

  • Four people to one coach, never more
  • A rig with pull-up bars and rings
  • 6-week skill blocks, tested in weeks 1 and 6
  • Assisted versions, slow lowers and holds until you're ready for the full skill
  • Conditioning in every session, so you get stronger all over
  • Adults 18+. Comfortable kit and water are all you need

The skill blocks

Block 1

The pull-up

Hangs, slow lowers and band-assisted reps build to your first strict pull-up, with the back lever as your technical skill.

Block 2

Levers and dips

Front lever progressions, plus pushing strength on the rings, from support holds to full dips.

Block 3

The muscle-up

Pulling and pushing strung together: high pulls, transitions and, when you're ready, your first muscle-up.

Every skill has a starting point, so you can join at the start of any block.

Who it's for

Never done a pull-up

Most people start here. Assisted versions build the strength, and your coach sets the level every session.

Pilates regulars

Pair it with reformer in Performance or Elite: control on the reformer, strength on the rig.

Lifters and runners

Bodyweight skills build the grip, shoulders and core that make every lift and every mile feel steadier.

Questions

What is calisthenics?

Strength training with your own bodyweight: pulling, pushing and holding yourself on bars, rings and the floor. It builds strength, grip and control you can feel in everyday life.

Do I need to be able to do a pull-up?

No. Most people start without one. Band-assisted reps, slow lowers and holds build towards your first full pull-up, and your coach sets the level each session.

Can I cancel a founding membership?

Yes. You can cancel for a full refund any time before we open. From opening day there's a 3-month minimum, then it's month to month. Full details are in our terms.

Who can join?

Adults aged 18 and over. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or have recently given birth, tell us and check with your GP before your first session.
